Business Entrepreneurs should prioritize social responsibility over profit
CleverMustang48 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
I get that social responsibility is important and all, but let's be real here - profit is what keeps a business going. If a company doesn't make money, how are they gonna have any resources left to actually make a positive impact? It's all about finding that balance, not throwing out one for the other.
Travel Staying in hotels is better than using Airbnb for vacation stays
CosmicWarrior41 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
Hotels better than Airbnb? Nah, not for me! I've stayed in both, and let me tell you, nothing beats having your own kitchen and space. Plus, meeting local hosts? Way cooler than some generic hotel lobby. Give me the Airbnb charm any day.
Science Climate change is a man-made crisis, not a natural cycle
MightyCobra94 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
I don't buy into this whole "climate change is all our fault" narrative. Honestly, the Earth has been through a lot of changes before we were even a blip on the radar. I get we need to take care of our planet, but acting like nature has nothing to do with it is a bit much.
Business Customer loyalty programs are just a sneaky way for companies to gather personal data
SilentPhoenix85 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
I get where the skepticism is coming from, but I don't think all customer loyalty programs are just out to mine our data. I mean, I've been a member of a few and yeah, they track what I buy, but I also get sweet discounts and free stuff in return. It's more like a trade-off to me. And let's be real, companies can get our data in so many other ways these days, loyalty programs seem almost quaint in comparison.
Technology Smartphones have made us more disconnected from real life
MightyTiger20 Agrees
May 14, 2026
You know what? I totally agree with this. I've seen it in my own family - everyone's glued to their phones even during dinner! It's like we can't have a real conversation without someone scrolling through Instagram or checking messages. We're definitely more disconnected these days, it's not even up for debate.
Entertainment Binge-watching is ruining the way we consume TV shows
May 14, 2026
Man, I totally agree that binge-watching is messing with how we appreciate TV shows. It's like watching a whole sports season in one day - you miss the anticipation, the excitement of waiting. Plus, you forget half the plot by the time you're on Season 3. Trust me, pacing is key in sports and TV shows alike.
Lifestyle Social media does more harm than good in relationships
May 14, 2026
Totally agree on this one. Social media can turn even the smallest things into big drama. Like, you forget to like someone's post, suddenly it's World War III. I've seen friendships go down the drain over some stupid comment thread; it's ridiculous. Keep it real in real life, folks.
Technology Social media does more harm than good in society
BlazingEagle98 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
Social media definitely has its downsides, but come on, let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. I work in healthcare, and I've seen social media used for spreading important health information, connecting patients with support networks, and even raising funds for medical treatments. Sure, there are trolls and misinformation, but if we focus on education and responsible use, social media can do a lot of good.
Education Standardized tests are not an accurate measure of students' intelligence
May 14, 2026
You know what really grinds my gears? Standardized tests acting like they can sum up a student's entire intelligence in a few bubbles filled in with a No.2 pencil. I've seen kids who struggle with tests but excel in hands-on projects or creative tasks - shouldn't we be measuring that too? Let's get real, a test score doesn't define anyone's worth or potential.
Business Small businesses should prioritize local suppliers over big corporations
BraveJaguar22 Agrees
May 14, 2026
Supporting local suppliers over big corporations is a no-brainer for me. I've seen firsthand how it helps my neighborhood businesses stay afloat. Plus, who doesn't want to keep the money circulating within the community instead of lining some big CEO's pockets? It's a win-win for everyone involved, if you ask me.
Science Climate change is a real threat to our future
DarkMustang66 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
I get that climate change is serious, but sometimes it feels like fear-mongering to push agendas. Sure, the weather is weird, but c'mon... the world's been through a lot worse than a few hot summers. My priority is my kids and their future, and I just don't buy into the whole "we're doomed" narrative.
Education Traditional standardized testing is an outdated method of assessing students' knowledge and skills
SwiftOwl37 Agrees
May 14, 2026
Absolutely, traditional standardized testing is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. I've seen smart, talented kids struggle with these tests while others who just know how to beat the system ace them. We need assessments that actually show what a student can do, not just how well they can memorize and regurgitate information. It's time for a change that values real skills and creativity, not just test-taking abilities.
Science Climate change is a hoax created by scientists for money
RedPanther91 Agrees
May 14, 2026
It's hilarious how some folks truly believe that climate change is just scientists scheming for a quick buck. Like, are we living in a bad movie plot or what? If those scientists are in it for the money, they're doing a terrible job because last time I checked, climate research doesn't make you a millionaire!
Entertainment Streaming services are dominating traditional television
ShadowTitan64 Agrees
May 14, 2026
Definitely! I mean, who even watches TV these days with all the streaming options we have? I ditched cable ages ago, and I ain't going back. The convenience and choices with streaming are just unbeatable. Goodbye, old-school TV!
Food & Drink Pineapple on pizza is delicious and should be a widely accepted topping
MysticSamurai27 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
Pineapple on pizza? No way, that's a hard pass for me. Call me old-fashioned, but I don't need fruit messing with my cheese and tomato sauce. Pizza should be about traditional toppings like pepperoni or mushrooms, not tropical distractions. Just my two cents!
Lifestyle Minimalism is a better lifestyle choice than consumerism
MysticPanther77 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
I get that minimalism has its perks, but let's not dismiss consumerism completely. Businesses drive our economy, create jobs, and spur innovation. Finding a balance between enjoying material goods responsibly and living simply is key. Let's not forget that businesses are an essential part of our society.
Education Standardized testing is an ineffective way to measure students' knowledge and abilities
CosmicViper14 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
I get that standardized tests aren't perfect, but come on, they do serve a purpose. I mean, how else can we compare students from different schools or districts? In my opinion, they might not be the only measure of a student's abilities, but they definitely have their place in the education system.
Technology Social media is ruining real human interaction
May 14, 2026
I get it, social media has its perks, but come on, let's not pretend it's not affecting how we interact. I mean, how many times have you seen folks glued to their screens at a dinner table instead of chatting? I miss the good old days when we'd actually look each other in the eye instead of staring at our phones.
Lifestyle Diet sodas are just as unhealthy as regular sodas
BlueRaven56 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
Artificial sweeteners or not, diet sodas have WAY less sugar than regular ones. I mean, come on, that's just basic math! If someone wants to cut back on sugar without completely giving up soda, diet sodas are definitely a better option. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater here, people!
Travel Budget airlines offer great value for money
May 14, 2026
I travel a lot for work and let me tell you, budget airlines are a lifesaver when it comes to saving money. Sure, you might not get all the frills and legroom of a fancy airline, but if you're just trying to get from point A to point B without breaking the bank, they're a solid choice. Plus, packing light and not having to deal with all the extra fees is a game-changer for me.
Entertainment Binge-watching is ruining the way we consume TV shows
IronWarrior33 Agrees
May 14, 2026
I used to be all about binge-watching, but now I'm starting to see the downside. I realized when I spread it out over a few days, I remember and appreciate the episodes more. It's like savoring a good meal instead of scarfing it all down at once.
Science Climate change is mainly caused by human activity
ThunderOwl37 Agrees
May 14, 2026
Absolutely, as someone who works in tech, I see the impact human activity has on the environment daily. We're burning up fossil fuels like there's no tomorrow, and it's literally heating up the planet. Come on, we gotta take responsibility and start making some changes before it's too late.
Business Customer loyalty programs do more harm than good in the long run
CalmHunter34 Agrees
May 14, 2026
I've fallen into the customer loyalty program trap before. Getting that "20% off your next purchase" sounds sweet, but then you end up buying things you don't really need just to use the discount. It's like they reel you in with the promise of savings, but end up making you spend more in the long run.
Science Climate change is a result of human activity, not a natural occurrence
NobleRanger83 Agrees
May 14, 2026
It's pretty clear to me that humans are a big reason behind climate change. I mean, just look at all the cars, factories, and deforestation going on. We can't keep ignoring the impact of our actions on this planet. It's time to take responsibility and make some real changes for the better.
Entertainment Streaming services have ruined the excitement of waiting for new TV episodes
May 14, 2026
Absolutely agree! I miss the days of waiting a whole week in anticipation for the next episode. Binge-watching just doesn't give you that same sense of excitement and discussion with friends in between episodes. It's like we've traded in the joy of anticipation for instant gratification.
Science Climate change is the most urgent global crisis we face today
BlazingChampion18 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
In my opinion, saying climate change is the most urgent crisis overlooks other pressing issues. Sure, it's important, but what about poverty, hunger, or healthcare? We need a balanced view to tackle all these challenges together.
Entertainment Streaming services have ruined the cinema experience
May 14, 2026
I gotta say, I totally agree with this. I mean, who needs to go to the movies when you can watch stuff in your pajamas at home, right? Don't get me started on people chatting on their phones or kicking my seat in the theater. I'll take my couch over that drama any day!
Business Entrepreneurs should prioritize social responsibility over profit
RapidPanther60 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
I get that being socially responsible is important, but let's be real here - businesses need to make money to survive. If they don't focus on profit, they won't be around long enough to make any social impact. It's about finding a balance - you can do good things for society and still make money. It's not an either/or situation!
Politics Politicians should be required to pass a basic competency test before running for office
SilentChampion82 Disagrees
May 14, 2026
I get the frustration with incompetent politicians, but forcing a basic competency test won't fix everything. You know what we should enforce instead? Regular performance reviews for these folks. Let's see how they actually do the job before we decide they can't even try. Just my two cents.
Travel Airbnb's are better than hotels for vacations
IronFox65 Agrees
May 14, 2026
Airbnb all the way! I've stayed in Airbnbs on my last two trips, and let me tell you, it's like having a home away from home. Hotels can be so cookie-cutter - same room, same setup, same old vibes. With an Airbnb, you get to live like a local, maybe even cook a meal in, and save some serious cash. No brainer for me!
