Traditional guidebooks are outdated and irrelevant in the age of digital travel resources

I don't buy the whole "guidebooks are outdated" argument. Sure, digital resources are handy, but there's something about flipping through a guidebook that a blog just can't replicate. Plus, what if your phone dies or you can't get a signal? I'd rather have a good ol' guidebook as backup any day.
