Absolutely agree. I've seen kids who are super smart and creative struggle with those tests just because they don't test well. Like, come on, real life isn't multiple-choice, and success isn't about memorizing facts for a one-shot deal. Let's get real with assessments that actually show what a student can do, not how good they are at bubbling in answers.

I get the hate for standardized testing, but come on, it's not all bad. In my experience, sure, it's not perfect, but at least it gives a rough idea of where students stand. Plus, in some fields, like mine, employers do look at those scores, so it's not like it's irrelevant in the real world.
