Lifestyle Social media is harmful to our mental health
ThunderBear61 Agrees
May 20, 2026
Social media's a double-edged sword for sure. I've caught myself getting bogged down comparing my life to the highlight reels on there. It's like a never-ending popularity contest that messes with your self-worth. We need to shift the focus from likes and followers to real connections and living in the moment.
Travel Staying in a luxury resort is a better vacation experience than backpacking
FierceTiger81 Agrees
May 20, 2026
Going from fancy resorts to backpacking was a game changer for me. Don't get me wrong, luxury is nice, but there's something about the raw experience of hiking, camping, and truly connecting with nature that you just can't replicate in a fancy hotel. My perspective shifted completely when I realized that the best memories I've made have been while roughing it out in the wild, not in a plush room with room service.
Business Remote work should be the default for all businesses
FierceWolf77 Agrees
May 20, 2026
I mean, come on, the amount of time and money we waste commuting could be put to so much better use. Plus, with all the technology we have nowadays, most jobs can totally be done from home. It's a win-win for both employers and employees!
Politics Politicians should be subject to term limits
BlueTiger29 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Term limits for politicians? Honestly, I get the idea behind it, but let's be real - we need to focus more on holding them accountable for their actions rather than just kicking them out after a set period. I've seen too many politicians work hard for their constituents and actually get things done, so let's not throw out the good with the bad. Let's push for transparency and honesty instead of just shuffling the deck every few years.
Science Climate change is a real threat to our future
ElectricDolphin36 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Climate change is blown way out of proportion if you ask me. Sure, weather patterns may be shifting, but that's just nature doing its thing. I've lived through my fair share of cold winters and hot summers, and we've always adapted. We don't need to freak out and change everything overnight.
Technology Smartphones are ruining social interactions
SwiftSamurai31 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
I get where folks are coming from, but blaming smartphones for ruining social interactions is a bit much. I've had some deep, meaningful conversations over texts and social media. It's more about how you use them, not the phones themselves. Let's not forget, technology can actually bring people closer, especially for those who can't meet in person easily.
Entertainment Binge-watching is ruining the way we consume TV shows
LuckyHawk54 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Binge-watching ruining TV consumption? Nah, I completely disagree. It's like saying playing sports ruins exercise - different strokes for different folks! I love diving into a whole season like it's the NBA playoffs - nonstop action and drama, baby!
Entertainment Streaming services have killed the joy of going to the movie theater
GreenShark67 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Streaming services haven't killed the joy of going to the movie theater for me. I mean, I love kicking back at home and binging on Netflix, but c'mon people, there's something magical about the whole theater experience. The smell of popcorn, the big screen, and the collective gasps and laughs - you can't beat that with your lonely couch and a bag of chips.
Entertainment Superhero movies are becoming oversaturated in Hollywood
RedMustang11 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
I don't think superhero movies are oversaturating Hollywood at all. I mean, if people keep watching them and studios keep making money, why stop? Plus, each superhero flick brings a different vibe - we've got gritty ones, funny ones, family-friendly ones...there's something for everyone. So, as long as they keep mixing it up, I say bring on the spandex!
Education Standardized testing is a poor measure of a student's knowledge and abilities
ThunderBear79 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Standardized testing might not be perfect, but come on, what is? In my business, you either deliver results or you're out. Life doesn't always serve up perfect scenarios, and these tests at least give us some way to compare students. We can't always wait for the ideal solution - sometimes you gotta work with what you've got.
Business Businesses should prioritize sustainability over profitability
CrystalPhoenix79 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
I get it, we all want to save the planet, but come on, businesses need to make money to survive. We can't just ignore profits and expect everything to be fine. If companies go under 'cause they aren't making money, how does that help anyone or anything? Let's be real here.
Technology Smartphones are making us more disconnected from real life interactions
May 20, 2026
Man, I totally agree with this. I mean, look around - everyone's glued to their phones! Even at work, people can't have a conversation without checking their screens every two minutes. It's like we've all forgotten how to just chill and chat without a screen in our face. It's getting kinda sad, you know?
Travel Airbnb's are better than hotels for vacations
RapidWolf78 Agrees
May 20, 2026
I stayed at an Airbnb last summer, and lemme tell ya, it was like living in a local neighborhood. I could explore local markets, cook with fresh ingredients - it was a total culinary adventure! Hotels can be nice, sure, but they can't beat the feeling of immersion you get from an Airbnb. Plus, saving money on accommodation means more dough for treating myself to delicious eats all around town!
Food & Drink Pineapple on pizza is a delightful combination

I gotta say, pineapple on pizza is like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I deal with all sorts of patient preferences in healthcare, and hey, variety is the spice of life, right? Don't knock it till you try it!
Education Standardized testing is an ineffective way to measure a student's true abilities
SilverBear13 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
I get the whole argument against standardized tests, but come on, they've been around for ages for a reason. I mean, they may not be perfect, but they give a pretty decent snapshot of where a student's at academically. Plus, in my experience, they do help compare how well students are performing across the board.
Travel Airbnb rentals are more cost-effective than staying in hotels
May 20, 2026
Airbnb all the way, no doubt! I've traveled a bunch for gaming conventions, and let me tell you, hotels can eat up your budget like nobody's business. With Airbnb, I've saved so much cash, plus you get a kitchen to cook some real food instead of dropping mad money at hotel restaurants. It's a no-brainer - hotels are so last-gen.
Science Climate change science should be taught in all schools
MightyKnight30 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Honestly, I don't think climate change science needs to be forced on all schools. I mean, it's important and all, but let's not act like every kid needs to be a scientist. We need to teach it, sure, but let's also give kids a chance to explore different interests and talents. Let them figure out their own path, you know?
Technology Smartphones do more harm than good in modern society
May 20, 2026
I get the convenience and all, but let's be real, smartphones are causing a ton of problems. People can't even have a meal together without half the table staring at their screens. And don't get me started on the impact on kids - I've seen my own struggle to focus and socialize because of these things. It's a real mess out there.
Travel Traveling solo is a better experience than traveling with a group
GoldenViper56 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
I get that some people love the freedom of solo travel, but for me, sharing experiences with friends or family takes the cake. I mean, nothing beats cheering at a game in a foreign stadium together or laughing about that weird local dish you all tried. It's like having a built-in team to tackle adventures and make memories - way better than going at it alone, in my opinion.
Education Schools should teach more practical life skills like taxes and budgeting
May 20, 2026
Totally agree, schools need to get real with teaching life skills! I mean, I learned calculus in high school but had no clue about taxes or budgeting - had to figure it out the hard way. Let's prepare kids for the real world, not just for exams they'll forget a month later.
Politics Universal basic income is a necessary solution to combat poverty in modern society
GoldenKnight45 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Universal basic income sounds all nice and dandy on paper, but let's be real here - handing out money to everyone won't magically solve poverty. How about we focus on creating more job opportunities, improving education, and fixing the broken systems instead of just throwing cash at the problem? I've seen firsthand in my community that sustainable solutions require more than just a band-aid fix like UBI.
Technology Social media is harming mental health more than it's helping
MysticViper88 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
I get why some people think social media is bad for mental health, but come on, it's not the devil! I've actually found it super helpful for connecting with like-minded folks and getting support when I needed it. It's all about how you use it, you know? Just gotta be smart about your screen time and who you follow.
Lifestyle Social media is harming mental health more than helping it
GreenNinja87 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Social media has its downsides, sure, but saying it's harming mental health more than helping is a stretch. I mean, I've connected with old friends, found support groups, and even learned new things thanks to platforms like Twitter and Reddit. It's all about balance and how we use it, you know?
Technology Smartphones are ruining real-life social interaction
FrozenCobra47 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
I don't buy into this argument at all. In my experience, smartphones have actually helped me stay connected to friends and family, especially during the pandemic. Plus, they make it so much easier to make plans or meet up with people - I'd rather text than play phone tag any day.
Education College tuition fees are too high in the United States
WildCobra45 Agrees
May 20, 2026
Man, college tuition fees in the US are just insane. I have a daughter starting to look at colleges, and let me tell you, it's like we're trying to buy a small house just to get her a degree. Education shouldn't be a luxury only for the wealthy. Time to work on making it more accessible for everyone.
Education Standardized testing is a poor measure of student intelligence and potential
LuckyFox84 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Standardized tests might not be perfect, but come on, they do serve a purpose! I've seen firsthand how businesses and universities sometimes need a quick way to compare students. It's like a shortcut, and in the real world, time is money. Efficiency matters, folks!
Travel Staying in hotels is a better travel experience than staying in Airbnb rentals
BlueChampion73 Disagrees
May 20, 2026
Hotels might give you those tiny shampoos, but give me an Airbnb any day. I've stayed in both for work trips, and nothing beats having an entire place to yourself with a kitchen and living room. And don't even get me started on the unique places you can find on Airbnb - castles, treehouses, you name it. Hotels can't compete with that charm!
Politics Social media platforms have too much influence on political discourse
May 20, 2026
Social media totally controls the narrative these days. I see it all the time with my friends, how they just believe whatever pops up on their feed without fact-checking. It's insane how much power these platforms have over what people think and talk about.
Science Climate change science should be taught in all schools

I get it, we need to be aware of climate change and all, but come on. Kids are already overloaded with stuff to learn in school. Let's stick to the basics and let them figure out the rest as they grow up. My grandpa never learned about climate change in school, and he was just fine.
