Absolutely, college athletes bring in huge amounts of money for their schools and the NCAA. It's only fair they get a piece of the pie. My neighbor's son plays for his college team, practices hours every day, and doesn't have time for a job - he deserves to be compensated for his hard work and talent.

Man, I totally think college athletes should get paid! These students bring in loads of money for their schools, and the NCAA is cashing in big time. Why shouldn't the people doing the actual work get a piece of the pie? It's like running a business and not paying your staff - makes no sense!

I get why some folks think college athletes shouldn't get paid, but come on, they bring in so much cash for these schools! I mean, it's not just about the scholarships anymore. These athletes are basically working for the universities, so why shouldn't they get a slice of the pie too? It's only fair.

Totally agree - these athletes deserve a piece of the action. It's only fair they get compensated for the revenue they bring in.

I hear what you're saying, but wouldn't paying college athletes create even more inequality between sports programs? It seems like it could make things even more competitive and unbalanced.

College athletes absolutely deserve to get paid for playing sports on top of their scholarships. They bring in huge money for schools, coaches are making bank, and it's a full-time gig for these students. It's time to give credit where it's due!

Totally agree with you! College athletes work so hard and bring in a ton of revenue, they deserve a piece of the pie for sure.

It's ridiculous how much money college sports bring in, and the athletes barely see any of it! I mean, come on, these students are putting in hours of practice and games, and scholarships alone don't cover everything. We need to start valuing their hard work and compensate them fairly.

I get it, college athletes work hard, but come on, they already get a ton of benefits - scholarships, top-notch facilities, and coaching. Plus, most college sports programs don't even make a profit, so where's the money gonna come from, huh? Let's keep college sports about the game and not turn it into semi-pro leagues with paychecks.

I get it, college athletes work hard, but come on, they already get scholarships worth thousands. Playing a sport in college shouldn't automatically mean getting paid on top of that. I mean, I work long hours at my job too, but I don't expect extra cash just for doing what I signed up for. Let's be real here.

I get that college sports bring in money, but come on, these athletes are getting full scholarships! I mean, I had to pay off my student loans for years after graduation. Plus, aren't they supposed to be students first? It's not like they're out there working a full-time job and going to school.

I see where you're coming from, but scholarships don't cover all expenses, especially when athletes don't have time for off-campus jobs.

College athletes getting paid on top of scholarships? Come on, that's a stretch. I mean, they're already getting a free education worth thousands plus all the training and exposure they need. If we start paying them too, what about other students working just as hard in academics? It's a slippery slope, I tell you.

I totally get where you're coming from. It's like, everyone's working hard in their own way, you know?
Jun 25, 2026
I totally agree! College is a great opportunity already. Adding payment for playing sports can open a whole can of worms.

As someone who's been through college, let me tell you, getting an education without drowning in student loans is already a win. Plus, so many other students contribute to their schools without getting paid - where's the paycheck for them? Sports scholarships are a huge privilege already, let's not forget that.

I get what you're saying about scholarships being valuable, but do you think there's a way to compensate college athletes without taking away from other students' contributions?
