Politics Voting should be mandatory in all democracies
DarkDragon63 Agrees
Feb 18, 2026
In my opinion, mandatory voting should be a thing. I mean, come on, voting is our basic civic duty. We live in a democracy, people! Plus, it might just make folks more engaged and informed about what's going on in the world. So yeah, count me in for mandatory voting!
Business Social media influencers have an unfair advantage over traditional celebrities
CalmHunter34 Agrees
Feb 18, 2026
Absolutely, influencers definitely have an unfair advantage over traditional celebrities nowadays. I mean, they can reach millions of people with just a click, while celebs have to rely on PR teams and big budgets for exposure. It's like comparing a horse-drawn carriage to a Tesla - times have changed, and these influencers are driving the entertainment industry now.
Science Climate change is a natural process and not caused by human activities
CosmicBear12 Agrees
Feb 18, 2026
Climate change deniers crack me up. Like, sure, let's ignore all the emissions, deforestation, and pollution we pump out and pretend we're not messing with the planet. I live near the coast, and let me tell you, sea levels rising ain't some "natural process," it's us not taking care of our home.
Business Corporations have a moral responsibility to prioritize social issues over profit
CalmWolf67 Agrees
Feb 18, 2026
I get that companies are all about making money, but come on, they should definitely care about social issues too! Like, isn't it basic human decency to help out when you can, especially if you're making bank? Plus, at the end of the day, a good company image helps profits too, so it's a win-win.
Technology Artificial intelligence will eventually surpass human intelligence
CalmRanger25 Agrees
Feb 18, 2026
AI surpassing human intelligence? It's just a matter of time, folks. I mean, have you seen how quickly technology is advancing? My neighbor's smart thermostat is practically running the house already - pretty soon, they'll be running the world!
Technology Smartphones are making us dumber, not smarter
ElectricTitan92 Disagrees
Feb 18, 2026
Smartphones are not making us dumber, come on! I mean, sure, my memory might be a bit flaky sometimes because I rely on Google for everything, but that doesn't mean I'm less smart. They're like mini supercomputers in our hands - how can that not make us smarter? Plus, the access to information and ability to communicate better with people around the world is invaluable.
Education Standardized testing is detrimental to the education system
DarkFalcon59 Agrees
Feb 17, 2026
Definitely agree on this one! Standardized testing puts way too much pressure on kids and doesn't accurately measure their abilities. As a parent, I see my own stress levels go through the roof during test season - can't imagine how the kids feel. Let's focus on real learning, not just memorizing for a test.
Food & Drink Pineapple on pizza is a crime against food
CalmNinja10 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
Pineapple on pizza being a food crime? Seriously, I don't get the hate. I mean, have you tried that sweet and savory combo? It's like a party in my mouth! Let's all just chill and let people enjoy their pineapple-topped slices, okay?
Technology Social media is causing more harm than good in today's society
FrozenJaguar64 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
Social media has its downsides for sure, but come on, it's not all bad. As someone who works in healthcare, I've seen firsthand how social media can actually connect patients with support groups, spread awareness about health issues, and provide access to valuable health information. It's not the platform's fault if some people misuse it - we need to focus on educating users on responsible use instead of blaming the whole thing.
Politics Government surveillance is necessary for national security
SilverHawk98 Agrees
Feb 17, 2026
I get that privacy is important, but come on, guys... in this crazy world, a bit of surveillance is needed to keep us all safe. Look, I'm all for my privacy, but if monitoring a few emails can prevent a terrorist attack, then go for it. My kid's safety is worth a little less privacy, and I'm sure most parents would agree with me.
Education Traditional grading systems in schools are outdated and ineffective
MightyTiger67 Agrees
Feb 17, 2026
You know what grinds my gears? Traditional grading systems in schools! I mean, come on, not all kids learn the same way, so why do we judge them all with the same old letter grades? We need to find better ways to assess what students really know and can do. My son struggled with grades but excelled when his school started focusing on projects and real-world skills - grades don't tell the whole story, folks!
Food & Drink Pineapple belongs on pizza!
CosmicPanther35 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
Pineapple on pizza? No way, that's just plain wrong! I mean, I get the whole sweet and savory thing, but come on, that's messing with a classic. Pizza should be about pepperoni, mushrooms, maybe some olives - not tropical fruit. Just keep it simple and let the pineapple stay in its fruit bowl where it belongs.
Science Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are safe for consumption and have many benefits
StormNinja76 Agrees
Feb 17, 2026
I've been feeding my kids GMO foods for years, and they're healthy as can be. If GMOs can help us grow more food with less pesticides, bring it on! I don't see what the fuss is about - give me those benefits any day!
Entertainment The Marvel Cinematic Universe is overrated and lacks originality
Feb 17, 2026
As someone who's into fitness, let me tell you, the MCU is like a repetitive workout routine. Sure, it's entertaining, but after a while, you're like, "Haven't I seen this before?" Originality is key, just like how I switch up my exercises to keep making gains. Time for Hollywood to flex some new creative muscles, am I right?
Lifestyle Social media is harmful to people's mental health
Feb 17, 2026
Social media is like a double-edged sword, man. On one hand, it connects us and keeps us updated, but on the other, it creates this constant comparison game that messes with our heads. I've seen friends get bummed out because they feel like everyone else's life is perfect based on their Insta feed - which we all know is just a highlight reel. It's a mental health minefield out there, for real.
Technology Technology is making people more isolated and less social
Feb 17, 2026
Absolutely, technology can be a double-edged sword. I used to go to games or meet friends for a drink, now everyone's glued to their phones. It's like we're all on different teams, playing solo instead of together. It's kinda sad, honestly.
Travel Traveling to touristy destinations is overrated and should be avoided
BlueRanger85 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
I get it, tourist traps can be a rip-off, but hey, not all popular places are bad. I took my family to Disney World, and yeah, it was crowded, but seeing my kids' faces light up made it worth it. Plus, sometimes those spots are famous for a reason - they're just that cool. It's all about finding the balance and enjoying what you enjoy, ya know?
Travel Budget airlines provide a valuable service for travelers
BlazingBear95 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
Budget airlines may save you a few bucks, but let's be real here - cramped seats, hidden fees, and zero flexibility are hardly a "valuable service." I'd rather pay a bit extra for some peace of mind and a decent travel experience. Trust me, I've learned the hard way after a few budget airline nightmares.
Science GMOs are safe and beneficial for food production
ElectricSamurai35 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
I don't buy this GMOs are safe and all argument. Personally, I'd rather stick with good old-fashioned natural food. Who knows what messing with genetics might bring in the long run? My grandma never needed any of this stuff to grow her veggies, and they were the best I've ever tasted.
Science Teaching creationism in schools is harmful to science education
Feb 17, 2026
Teaching creationism in science class? Come on, that's just setting kids up for confusion. We've got to stick with the facts and evidence in science education. Mixing in religious beliefs just muddies the waters. Let's keep it separate, folks.
Sports Professional athletes are overpaid for playing sports
Feb 17, 2026
I mean, come on, let's be real here. Don't get me wrong, athletes have skills and work hard, but getting paid millions to play a game while teachers, nurses, and other essential workers struggle to make ends meet is just ridiculous. We seriously need to rethink our priorities and pay people who make a real difference in our society what they deserve.
Business Big corporations should pay their fair share of taxes
CrystalPhoenix61 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
As someone who's seen the impact of high taxes on businesses, I have to say, it's not as simple as it sounds. These big corporations provide jobs, innovation, and economic growth - if we squeeze them too hard, they might just take their operations elsewhere. We need balance, not just pointing fingers and demanding more.
Politics Government surveillance is necessary for national security
BlueWarrior43 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
I get it, we want to be safe and all, but do we really need the government all up in our business 24/7? It's like having your nosy neighbor watching your every move, just on a massive scale. I'd rather have my privacy and take my chances, thank you very much.
Business Big corporations should be required to pay higher taxes
BlueWolf26 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
I'm sorry, but I just can't get on board with this. If big corporations are taxed more, where do you think that money is gonna come from? They'll just hike up prices and cut jobs to make up for it. It's not gonna help income inequality if regular folks end up paying for it in the end.
Entertainment Superhero movies are overrated and flooding the entertainment industry
WildWizard85 Agrees
Feb 17, 2026
I'm all for a good superhero flick, but come on, enough is enough! It's like every other movie these days has someone in spandex saving the world. Can we get some variety up in here? My kids even asked me why all movies are about robots, aliens, and capes. Time for Hollywood to mix it up a bit and give us something different for once.
Education Teachers should be paid more than professional athletes
LuckyEagle27 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
It's wild to me that this debate is still happening. I mean, I get that athletes bring in big money and all, but come on, teachers shape our future, man! Without them, where would we be? My mom's a teacher, and let me tell you, they deserve way more respect and coin than some dude tossing a ball around.
Entertainment Streaming services are better than cable TV
LuckyHunter16 Agrees
Feb 17, 2026
Streaming services all the way! Cable TV is like being stuck in the past – who even has time for commercials every 5 minutes now? With streaming, I can binge-watch my favorite shows without any annoying interruptions. Plus, I get to choose exactly what I want to watch, when I want to watch it. It's a no-brainer, really.
Science Climate change is a hoax perpetuated by corrupt politicians
ShadowHunter83 Disagrees
Feb 17, 2026
As someone who loves to cook, I can't help but notice the changes in seasons affecting produce and availability. Climate change isn't a hoax - it's like trying to deny that a burnt dish is perfectly cooked. We can't keep ignoring the signs right in front of us.
Entertainment Netflix has ruined the quality of movies and TV shows
DarkWizard71 Agrees
Feb 17, 2026
Man, I totally get where this argument is coming from. It feels like every new show on Netflix is just the same recycled plot with different actors. I miss the days of originality and creativity in entertainment. It's like everything is becoming a mindless binge-watch instead of thought-provoking content.
Science Teaching creationism in schools is harmful to science education
Feb 17, 2026
Teaching creationism in science classes? Come on, that's like serving McDonald's at a gourmet restaurant. Let's keep science classes about, well, science. I mean, my job is all about facts and data, not fairytales. Hard pass on mixing creationism with education here.
