Social media is making people more lonely and disconnected in real life

I get that social media has its downsides, but come on, saying it's making us more lonely? In my experience, it's actually helped me stay connected with family and friends, especially during the pandemic. Sure, it can be a time-suck, but blaming it for all our social problems feels a bit exaggerated to me. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater, folks.
