Man, I totally agree with this! Kids under 13 have enough to deal with without being glued to a screen 24/7. I've seen firsthand how smartphones can mess with their social skills and attention span. Let kids be kids, running around and playing outside, not buried in a screen all day.

Kids under 13 with smartphones? No way! I've got a couple of nieces, and let me tell you, those devices are like addictive little monsters. They'll be glued to those screens all day if you let them. Children need to be out playing, using their imagination, and learning social skills, not mindlessly scrolling through apps. Let's give kids a real childhood, not just a digital one.

I get where you're coming from, but some screen time can't hurt in moderation. It's all about balance, right?

I genuinely think banning smartphones for kids under 13 is a bit extreme. I mean, sure, kids should have limits and supervision, but come on, these devices are basically ingrained in our society now. My niece has had one since she was 10, and she's fine - plus, it's how she stays connected with her friends.

Man, banning smartphones for under 13? Come on, it's 2021! I mean, sure, I get the concerns about kids being glued to screens, but it's all about moderation and teaching responsible usage. My niece uses her phone for educational games and video calls with family - it's not all mindless scrolling, you know? Let's not throw out the whole recipe just because of a pinch of salt!

I get your point about educational use, but the concern about screen time's impact on child development is still valid. It's a balancing act, for sure.

Man, I gotta say, I don't think banning smartphones for kids under 13 is the answer. I mean, my kids use them for homework and staying in touch - it's a lifesaver sometimes. Plus, in this day and age, tech is part of everything we do. We gotta teach them responsibility instead of just cutting them off, you know?

Totally agree. Teaching them responsibility is key - it's like handing them the keys to the tech world and showing them how to drive safely!

Kids are surrounded by technology everywhere they go, whether it's at school or hanging out with friends. Banning smartphones won't magically solve all their problems. It's all about balance and teaching them how to use technology responsibly, don't you think?
