Absolutely, I've noticed how everyone's heads are buried in their phones these days. I mean, even at family gatherings, half the people are scrolling through their feeds instead of talking to each other. It's like we're all together, but not really present, you know? Technology is great, but we need to remember the real connections that matter.

I get why some folks feel that way, but I think smartphones have actually connected us more! I mean, I text with my cousins across the country more than I ever did before. Plus, I've met some awesome people through social media who I wouldn't have crossed paths with otherwise. It's not all bad!

Interesting perspective! Don't you think it also depends on how we use smartphones and balance between online and offline interactions?

Man, I gotta say, I really disagree with the whole "smartphones make us disconnected" argument. I mean, sure, some folks might get lost in their screens, but honestly, my phone keeps me connected to friends and family, especially during this pandemic. It's like a lifeline to stay in touch with what's going on in the world. Plus, social media can actually help me connect with like-minded folks and even organize for causes I care about. So, I feel like it's more about how we use our phones rather than blaming the tech itself.
