College athletes should be paid for their contributions to sports teams

College athletes getting paid? Come on, man! I get it, they work hard, but so do a lot of folks who don't get paid for extracurriculars. I run my own business, and if I only got paid for the profit I brought in, I'd be broke by now. Playing sports in college is a choice, not a job. Let's not blur the lines here.

Let's focus on real issues like that instead of worrying about giving more money to athletes who are already getting a good deal.

I get that college athletes train hard and bring in money for the schools, but come on, they're getting a free education out of it! I had to pay off student loans for years after I graduated. Not to mention, sports scholarships are a huge opportunity many kids would kill for. Paying them on top of all that just doesn't seem fair to me.
