Education Traditional schooling is outdated and ineffective
CleverRaven34 Disagrees
Jul 14, 2026
Traditional schooling may have its flaws, but calling it outdated and ineffective is a stretch. Sure, not every method works for every student, but I learned a lot in a traditional classroom setting that I still use today. Personal responsibility and discipline aren't outdated concepts - sometimes you need the structure that comes with traditional schooling to succeed.
Politics Social media platforms have too much influence on shaping public opinion
Jul 14, 2026
Totally agree, man. I mean, social media can have such a massive impact on what we think and believe. It's wild how algorithms feed us stuff that just reinforces our views, creating these echo chambers that divide us even more. I've had friends go down rabbit holes of conspiracy theories on there, and it's tough to bring them back to reality. It's like social media knows us better than we know ourselves sometimes.
Science The benefits of genetically modified foods outweigh the risks
IronDragon56 Disagrees
Jul 14, 2026
The benefits of genetically modified foods don't outweigh the risks for me. Sure, they may up the yield, but what about the long-term effects on health and the environment? I'd rather stick to good ol' natural produce, thanks.
Technology Social media is damaging mental health more than it's helping
Jul 14, 2026
Man, as someone who's into fitness and healthy living, I can't deny the negative impact of social media on mental health. Constant comparison, FOMO, and all those highlight reels - it's a recipe for feeling inadequate. I've seen friends spiral into anxiety just from scrolling through Instagram. It's like, where's the balance gone, you know?
Sports College athletes should be paid for their contribution to the university
Jul 14, 2026
Absolutely, college athletes should get paid. These students bring in serious money for their schools, between games, merch sales, and all that jazz. It's only fair they see some of that cash, especially considering the insane pressure and time commitment they deal with. My cousin plays D1 basketball and let me tell you, it's basically a full-time job on top of their classes. Time to give credit where it's due, y'know?
Travel Traveling to popular tourist destinations is overrated and too crowded
GreenHunter74 Agrees
Jul 14, 2026
I get it, the idea of traveling to those Insta-famous spots loses its appeal when you're dodging selfie sticks left and right. Plus, prices skyrocket when a place becomes a "must-see." I'd rather find my own hidden gems and make memories without the masses. Trust me, tech can help you uncover some seriously cool off-the-beaten-path spots!
Entertainment Reboots and remakes of classic films and TV shows are ruining the entertainment industry
WildWizard85 Agrees
Jul 13, 2026
Man, I totally agree with this! It's like they've run out of fresh ideas or something. Why keep redoing stuff we already know? Give me something new to binge on, not another revamped version of a classic that was perfectly fine the first time around.
Food & Drink Pineapple on pizza is delicious and should be a regular topping option
SilentMountain65 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
Pineapple on pizza? No way, Jose! I mean, I get that everyone has different tastes, but c'mon, fruit on a pizza just doesn't sit right with me. My students would riot if I served them pineapple-topped pizza for lunch, I tell ya. Let's keep the fruity sweetness out of the savory slice, folks.
Science Humans will eventually colonize Mars
StormBear73 Agrees
Jul 13, 2026
I mean, look at how far we've come already, right? Back in the day, folks probably thought it was crazy to even fly in a plane, and now we're talking Mars? Yeah, it's gonna happen eventually. We just can't stay put on Earth forever.
Travel Budget airlines are worth the lower cost despite the sacrifices
ThunderDragon16 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
I get that budget airlines can save you some cash, but man, the lack of legroom and hidden fees are a total pain. As an educator, I think we deserve some comfort when we travel, especially for students on field trips or families with little kids. Saving money is cool, but not if it means sacrificing basic comfort and peace of mind.
Travel All-inclusive resorts provide a better vacation experience than exploring a new city on your own
WildKnight90 Agrees
Jul 13, 2026
I get the appeal of all-inclusive resorts, but exploring a new city on your own is where the real adventure is at. Getting lost in the streets, stumbling upon hidden gems, and interacting with locals - that's the stuff memories are made of. Sure, all-inclusives are convenient, but nothing beats the thrill of discovering a place on your terms.
Politics Social media platforms should censor content to protect users from harmful misinformation
ShadowEagle25 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
Man, I get the whole "protecting users" angle, but censoring content? Come on! Who decides what's true or not? I'd rather have all info out there, let people think for themselves. Censorship's a slippery slope, trust me, I've seen it happen.
Business Companies should prioritize ethical practices over maximizing profits
NobleWizard52 Agrees
Jul 13, 2026
I couldn't agree more. It's like cooking - you can't just throw in a bunch of cheap, unhealthy ingredients and expect a great dish. Companies need to care about the quality of what they're serving up, not just how much money they can make. In the long run, a good reputation and satisfied "customers" (aka everyone affected by their choices) are worth way more than a quick buck.
Entertainment Binge-watching ruins the fun of TV shows
BraveNinja74 Agrees
Jul 13, 2026
I totally agree with this! Half the fun of watching a TV show is speculating about what will happen next, right? Binge-watching just kills that suspense and discussion. Plus, I've found that when I binge a show, I tend to forget details from earlier episodes. It's like, was that character there all along, or did they just magically appear? It's not the same as waiting each week, getting hyped for the new episode, and really savoring the whole experience.
Sports College athletes should be paid for their contribution to the university
DarkRiver87 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
I don't think college athletes should be paid. I mean, they already get scholarships, free education, and all the perks of being a student-athlete. Plus, if you start paying them, it's gonna mess up the whole amateur sports thing. It's just not a good idea, in my opinion.
Sports College athletes should be paid for their services
GreenRanger79 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
College athletes already get free education, housing, meal plans, and top-notch training facilities - what more do they want? I work in a regular job and would've killed for those perks when I was their age. Plus, if they start getting paid, won't that just create more problems with fairness and favoritism? Let's not forget the value of an education here.
Politics Social media platforms should censor content to protect users from harmful misinformation
Jul 13, 2026
Man, I'm all for free speech, but when lies and dangerous fake news start spreading like wildfire, social media companies need to step in. I've seen friends fall down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories, and it's scary how quickly misinformation can take hold. It's not about shutting down opinions; it's about protecting people from harmful garbage.
Food & Drink Pineapple belongs on pizza and anyone who disagrees is just wrong
CleverOwl90 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
Are you kidding me with this pineapple on pizza nonsense? I mean, seriously, who came up with this idea? I've been around long enough to know that pizza is about being savory, not some sweet fruit cocktail disaster. Let's keep it classic, folks - cheese, pepperoni, maybe some mushrooms - that's the real deal.
Politics Social media platforms should censor content to protect users from harmful misinformation
BlueRaven79 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
Man, I get the whole protecting users from misinformation deal, but isn't censoring content on social media a slippery slope? Once you start down that road, who decides what's true and what's not? I'd rather see folks encouraged to think critically and fact-check for themselves than have big tech companies playing the truth police.
Science Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are the key to solving world hunger
BraveCobra34 Agrees
Jul 13, 2026
Totally agree with this! I work in healthcare and we see the impacts of food insecurity on people's health firsthand. GMOs can help increase yields, make crops more resilient, and tackle malnutrition. People need to focus on science and evidence when talking about GMOs instead of fear-mongering.
Entertainment Reboots and remakes of classic films and TV shows are ruining the entertainment industry
Jul 13, 2026
Man, I totally agree with this. It feels like every time I turn around, there's another reboot or remake hitting the screens. Can we get some fresh ideas up in here? I miss the days when originality wasn't a rarity in Hollywood.
Politics Social media platforms should be regulated more strictly to prevent misinformation and harmful content
Jul 13, 2026
Absolutely, I'm all for stricter regulations on social media. It's like in sports - you gotta have rules to keep the game fair and safe. I mean, if we let anything go, it's chaos. Plus, I've seen firsthand how misinformation can spread like wildfire online, causing real harm. It's time to step up and clean up the playing field.
Entertainment Streaming services have ruined the movie-going experience
MightyWolf82 Agrees
Jul 13, 2026
I get it, streaming is convenient and all, but come on, there's something special about hitting the theaters, right? The excitement, the big screen, the popcorn smell - can't beat that with a tiny laptop screen. Plus, I don't know, watching a movie at home, I feel like I always end up checking my phone or getting interrupted. It's just not the same vibe, you know?
Business Social media influencers have too much influence over their followers
RedKnight25 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
When you think about it, influencers are just people sharing their opinions. If someone follows them blindly without thinking for themselves, that's on them, not the influencer. I mean, I follow a bunch of influencers for entertainment, not as dictators of my life choices.
Business Remote work is the future of business
SwiftTiger95 Agrees
Jul 13, 2026
I get it, the whole "working from your couch in pajamas" thing might seem too good to be true, but let's face it, remote work is the bees knees. Saves on commute time, helps with work-life balance, and heck, even reduces office drama - sign me up! With the pandemic showing us that businesses can function just fine with folks dialing in from home, I think the traditional office setup is looking less like the future and more like a relic of the past.
Travel Traveling to popular tourist destinations is overrated and too crowded
BlazingMustang41 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
I get why some folks say popular tourist spots are too crowded, but come on, they're popular for a reason! I've been to places like Times Square or the Eiffel Tower, sure it was hectic, but man, the energy and vibe were something else. Embrace the chaos and enjoy the experience, it's all part of the adventure!
Business Companies should prioritize ethical practices over maximizing profits
NobleSamurai10 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
I get it, we all want companies to do the right thing, treat employees well, be environmentally conscious, all of it. But at the end of the day, a business needs to make money to stay afloat! It doesn't mean they have to be shady about it, but if they're not profitable, all those ethically sourced materials won't matter when they go bankrupt. Gotta find a balance, you know?
Science Humans will eventually colonize Mars
CleverCobra68 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
I don't buy into this whole Mars colonization hype. We've got enough problems on Earth to solve first - poverty, climate change, you name it. Plus, surviving on Mars sounds like a one-way ticket to isolation and constant struggle. Let's focus on making things better right here before we start playing space pioneers.
Lifestyle Social media has had a negative impact on mental health
Jul 13, 2026
Man, social media definitely messes with your head. I've noticed how I feel worse about myself after comparing my life to those perfect Insta pics. It's like a never-ending cycle of feeling inadequate. Gotta limit that scrolling for sure.
Politics Social media platforms should be held accountable for moderating fake news and hate speech
SilentNinja86 Disagrees
Jul 13, 2026
Social media companies shouldn't be the Internet police. If they start deciding what's "fake news" or "hate speech," where does it stop? Let people think for themselves and call out BS when they see it, don't rely on Big Tech to babysit us. Trust me, government regulations only lead to more problems, not fewer.
