Education Standardized testing is a flawed way to measure students' knowledge and skills
Feb 24, 2026
I've seen my kid stress out over these tests, and it's crazy how much pressure they put on students. One test can't possibly sum up all their knowledge and abilities. I mean, I know people who aced those tests but can't apply what they supposedly learned in real life. It's just not a fair way to judge anyone.
Science Climate change is solely caused by human activity
RapidCobra26 Disagrees
Feb 24, 2026
I used to be all on board with the whole "humans are the sole reason for climate change" thing. But come on, nature has been doing its thing for way longer than we've been driving cars. I recycle and all, but let's not act like the Earth hasn't gone through natural climate cycles before we started with all the pollution.
Science Climate change is the biggest threat to our planet
RedBear21 Agrees
Feb 24, 2026
Climate change is absolutely the biggest threat to our planet. I mean, come on, you can literally see the crazy weather patterns and natural disasters happening all around us. Personally, I've noticed the summers getting hotter and the winters getting milder over the years - it's not just a hoax, it's real, and we need to do something about it before it's too late.
Technology Smartphones are making people more disconnected than ever before
BraveTitan18 Disagrees
Feb 24, 2026
Honestly, smartphones have their downsides, but they're not the sole reason people feel disconnected. In my job, I've seen how technology actually helps us stay connected in so many ways. It's all about how you use it - blaming smartphones for everything is just oversimplifying a complex issue, if you ask me.
Education Standardized testing is not an effective way to measure a student's abilities
DarkViper14 Agrees
Feb 24, 2026
Absolutely, standardized testing is such a one-size-fits-all approach. I mean, my daughter struggles with test anxiety, and it doesn't reflect her true abilities at all. We should be focusing on more holistic ways to assess students, not just a narrow test score.
Sports College athletes should be paid for their performances on the field
MightyFox39 Agrees
Feb 24, 2026
Absolutely, college athletes bring in huge amounts of money for their schools, and it's only fair that they get a piece of the pie. As someone in healthcare, I know the importance of fair compensation, especially when someone's hard work directly benefits others. Plus, these athletes often don't have time for part-time jobs because of their sports commitments, so getting paid for their efforts just makes sense.
Travel Airbnb rentals should be regulated more strictly to protect local communities
ThunderWolf77 Agrees
Feb 24, 2026
For sure, I'm all in on this one. I've seen neighborhoods completely change because of Airbnb, with rents going through the roof. It's like a free-for-all sometimes, and the locals just get pushed out. Regulation could definitely help balance things out a bit.
Business Big companies should be required to pay higher taxes
StormDragon80 Agrees
Feb 24, 2026
Big companies absolutely should pay more taxes! I mean, come on, they're making billions while regular folks like us struggle to make ends meet. It's just common sense that they should contribute their fair share to society. I'd rather see that money go to fund schools, fix roads, or help families in need than sit in some CEO's offshore account.
Politics Social media platforms should do more to regulate fake news and misinformation
CalmNinja10 Agrees
Feb 24, 2026
Definitely, social media platforms need to step up their game when it comes to fake news. I've seen so many wild conspiracy theories spreading like wildfire, and it's just dangerous. We need accurate info, not some random dude's made-up story shared a million times. Time for these platforms to clean house!

Feb 24, 2026
It's like, yeah, the climate changes, but come on, is every little thing we do really causing it? I recycle and all, but blaming every hurricane on me driving my car is a bit much. Let's take a breath and think this through before we go all doomsday on every truck driver and factory worker out there.
Education Standardized testing is not an accurate measure of student learning
SwiftPhoenix39 Disagrees
Feb 24, 2026
Standardized testing may not be perfect, but come on, it's not like it tells us nothing about a student's learning. I mean, I remember studying like crazy for those tests back in high school, and they did reflect how much I actually knew. Plus, in the real world, you need to be able to handle pressure and perform under similar circumstances, so it's not a bad skill to have.
Food & Drink Pineapple on pizza is delicious and should be a more widely accepted topping
BoldRiver62 Disagrees
Feb 24, 2026
Pineapple on pizza? No thanks, I'm out. The classic pizza toppings are classic for a reason - who needs fruit messing with a good thing? I just want a good ol' pepperoni pizza without the sweetness overload.
Entertainment Superhero movies are becoming overrated and formulaic
NobleRaven11 Agrees
Feb 23, 2026
I've been a huge fan of superhero movies for years, but lately, it feels like they're all following the same cookie-cutter plotlines. It's like they just switch out the characters and the villain, and boom, you've got a new movie. Where's the innovation, the risk-taking? Give me a superhero flick that actually surprises me, not just one that follows the same old formula.
Education Standardized testing is a flawed way to assess a student's knowledge
Feb 23, 2026
Multiple-choice tests? Ugh, don't even get me started. They make me feel like I'm just guessing most of the time. How is bubbling in a scantron supposed to show what I really know? It's like a game of chance, not a true measure of understanding. Give me a project or presentation any day over those soul-sucking exams.
Travel Traveling solo is more fulfilling than traveling with a group.
FrozenCobra28 Agrees
Feb 23, 2026
Traveling solo all the way! You can do whatever you want without having to compromise or wait around for a group decision. Plus, the sense of independence and self-discovery you get from navigating a new place on your own is unbeatable. Group trips always end up with someone complaining or wanting to change plans - not my idea of fun!

Pineapple on pizza? Seriously, who thought this sweet fruit invasion was a good idea? I've tried it, and it's like a tropical disaster on my taste buds. Let's keep it classic with some good ol' pepperoni or veggie toppings, no need to mess with perfection.
Business Small businesses are more important for local economies than large corporations
CleverOwl90 Agrees
Feb 23, 2026
Small businesses are the lifeblood of local economies, hands down. My dad ran his small hardware store for over 30 years, and it was a pillar of our community. They create jobs, support neighborhoods, and keep money circulating right where it's needed most. Sure, those big corporations have their place, but give me the mom-and-pop shops any day.

Big corporations bring massive job opportunities and economic stability to local areas. They can invest in community initiatives and provide resources that small businesses simply can't match. My city has thrived thanks to big companies creating jobs and supporting local businesses through partnerships - they're a crucial part of our economy.
Entertainment Binging TV shows is a better way to enjoy entertainment than watching movies
Feb 23, 2026
TV shows all the way, man! I mean, you get invested in the characters, their arcs, the suspense, all of it. It's like being on a rollercoaster ride that lasts longer than just a quick movie. Plus, with so many streaming platforms now, the options are endless - you can binge whatever genre you're into. Give me those multi-season dramas any day over a one-off film!
Business Businesses should prioritize environmental sustainability over profit maximization
Feb 23, 2026
Totally on board with this! As a gamer, I see companies pumping out games like there's no tomorrow, but at what cost to the environment, right? We need to start putting our planet first, even if it means sacrificing a bit of profit. Plus, if companies invest in sustainable practices now, it'll pay off in the long run for everyone.
Entertainment Sequels rarely live up to the original movies
Feb 23, 2026
It's like when you have an amazing dish at a restaurant, and you go back for the same thing, but it's just not as good the second time around. I feel like movie sequels often fall into that trap – the magic can't quite be recreated. I've had my fair share of disappointing sequels that made me wish I'd just stuck with the original movie and left it at that.
Food & Drink Pineapple on pizza is a crime against food
Feb 23, 2026
Pineapple on pizza being a crime against food? Absolutely agree! I mean, who thought putting sweet fruit on a savory dish was a good idea? It's like trying to mix oil and water - it just doesn't work! Keep that pineapple away from my pizza, please.
Education Standardized testing is harmful to student learning
Feb 23, 2026
Absolutely agree. Standardized tests just stress us out, they're one-size-fits-all, not considering how different we all learn. My kid struggles with them, and it doesn't reflect their true potential. Learning should be more than just filling in bubbles.
Politics Social media platforms should have stricter policies on political content
RedRanger74 Disagrees
Feb 23, 2026
I get that people want to crack down on political content online, but come on, stricter policies would just lead to more censorship. It's like trying to control what people think and say. Let's trust users to think critically and not rely on big tech to babysit us.
Education Standardized testing is a flawed way to assess a student's knowledge
Feb 23, 2026
Multiple-choice tests? Ugh. They're like trying to measure the ocean with a teaspoon. I've seen smart kids freeze up during exams and bomb them - doesn't mean they didn't know the stuff. Real learning is way messier and creative than picking A, B, C, or D. Let's ditch this outdated system and find better ways to understand what students really know.
Education Traditional schooling is outdated and ineffective for today's digital generation
BoldShark23 Disagrees
Feb 23, 2026
I get that digital tools are cool and all, but come on, traditional schooling isn't some ancient relic. I'm an educator and let me tell you, face-to-face interaction, social skills, and hands-on learning are still super important. Can't just replace that with screens and expect kids to turn out all well-rounded, you know?
Business Social media influencers are overpaid for the work they do
StormChampion80 Disagrees
Feb 23, 2026
I gotta say, I think social media influencers work hard to build their audiences and create content. It's not just snapping a pic and calling it a day; it's about engagement, creativity, and consistency. Plus, if brands are willing to pay them big bucks to reach their followers, then clearly they're providing value. It's a legit job in today's digital age!
Travel Traveling to tourist-heavy destinations ruins the authenticity of the experience
RedKnight25 Disagrees
Feb 23, 2026
I get the sentiment, but come on, saying that traveling to touristy places ruins the experience is a bit much. Sure, it can be annoying dealing with crowds, but that doesn't erase the beauty of these destinations. I've been to packed tourist spots and still managed to have a blast exploring and learning about the local culture. It's all about how you approach it!
Technology Social media is more harmful than beneficial to society
StormMountain34 Disagrees
Feb 23, 2026
Social media has its flaws, sure, but saying it's more harmful than beneficial is a stretch. I mean, from a business perspective, social media is a goldmine for reaching customers. You just gotta use it right, like anything else. Plus, it's not all bad - I've connected with old friends, discovered cool events, and gotten job opportunities through social platforms. So yeah, it's not all doom and gloom, folks.
Travel Traveling alone is more fulfilling than traveling with a group
Feb 23, 2026
Solo travel all the way! It's like you're the captain of your own adventure, making decisions on the fly without having to cater to anyone else. The freedom to explore at my own pace, meet new people, and truly immerse myself in a destination without any group drama or compromises? Priceless.
