I get the nostalgia and all, but come on, plenty of remakes totally rock! Take "Ocean's Eleven" for example, the remake was slick, fun, and had a killer cast. Some remakes miss the mark, sure, but to say they rarely live up to the originals? Nah, there are definitely some gems out there that hold their own.

I've gotta say, spontaneous travel is the way to go! Planning every little detail just sucks the fun out of it.
