I get it, touristy spots can be a bit overhyped. When I took my family to one of these popular beaches, it was so crowded you could barely move! Plus, everything ends up being super expensive because, hey, they know you're a tourist. I'd rather explore some hidden gems and have a more authentic experience any day.

You know, I've traveled to places that were supposed to be these big tourist hot spots, and honestly, it was kind of a letdown. The crowds, the inflated prices, the lack of authenticity - it just doesn't feel worth it. I'd rather explore off-the-beaten-path destinations, support local businesses, and have a more genuine experience.

Totally get what you mean. The same happened to me at a so-called "must-see" spot. Off-the-beaten-path all the way for me too.

I get the appeal of off-the-beaten-path travel, but c'mon, saying mainstream tourist spots should be avoided is a bit of a stretch. I mean, they're usually popular for a reason, right? Sure, they might be crowded, but there's nothing wrong with enjoying a little bit of what makes a place famous. I've been to a few touristy spots, and honestly, they were pretty awesome despite the crowds.

I get the appeal of off-the-beaten-path travel, but come on, touristy spots are classics for a reason! I took my family to Disneyland last year, and seeing my kids' faces light up at the attractions was priceless. Plus, can't deny the convenience and infrastructure in popular destinations - makes the trip smoother.
