Traveling to tourist-filled destinations is overrated

I've been to a few crowded tourist spots, and let me tell you, it can be a total madhouse. Long lines, overpriced everything, and you can't even enjoy the view with all the selfie sticks in the way. I'd much rather explore a hidden gem, where I can actually soak in the culture and vibe without feeling like I'm at an amusement park.
