Absolutely, standardized testing sucks. I mean, come on, how can a single test measure all the different skills and talents a student might have? My daughter struggles with test anxiety, but put her in a project-based assessment and she shines like a star. People are so much more than a score on a piece of paper.

Absolutely agree! I have a kid in school, and let me tell you, standardized testing just stresses them out without really showing what they're capable of. Real intelligence and potential can't be boiled down to filling in bubbles on a scantron. Let's focus on more holistic ways to understand our students' abilities rather than sticking to outdated methods.

C'mon, folks, let's not throw standardized testing under the bus just yet. I get it, they're not perfect, but they do serve a purpose. It's like using a recipe - sure, you can tweak it to make it better, but you still need a base to start with. Let's not discount the value they bring to the table.
