Traditional standardized testing is an ineffective way to measure students' knowledge and abilities

Should schools find more innovative ways to evaluate students rather than relying on standardized tests?

Standardized tests may not be perfect, but they do give a baseline idea of where students stand. I see in my job that sometimes you need a standard way to compare students fairly. Plus, come on, life is full of standardized things - job interviews, driver's tests - so students better get used to it.

Standardized tests may not be perfect, but they serve a purpose. How else are we gonna compare students from different schools or states? Plus, they help prepare us for important exams later in life. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater here.

Standardized tests may not be perfect, but they give a standardized benchmark to evaluate students. As a parent, I want to know my kid is hitting the same standards as others. Innovative ways are great, but let's not throw out a system that at least attempts to make things fair for everyone.
