Totally agree! As a business person, I see how the focus on standardized tests can miss out on skills like creativity, leadership, and problem-solving - all crucial in the real world. I've seen plenty of smart, successful folks who struggled with those tests but are killing it in the business world. Intelligence is way more than what a test can measure.

Honestly, standardized tests just measure how good you are at taking tests, not your actual smarts. I mean, I’ve seen plenty of folks ace those exams but struggle in real-life situations. How does acing a test make you a genius anyway? It's like saying I'm a pro chef just because I can follow a recipe - come on!

Man, I gotta say, standardized tests may not be perfect, but they do give a snapshot of a student's skills. I mean, I've seen kids who ace those tests struggle in real-world situations and vice versa. But hey, gotta have some way to measure progress, right?

True, standardized tests are a tricky one. Do you think there's a better way to gauge progress without them?

I don't know about you guys, but I think standardized tests can definitely give a good snapshot of someone's intelligence. I mean, I've been around the block a few times, and let me tell you, those tests have been around forever for a reason. Sure, they might not capture every single aspect of a person's abilities, but they do a pretty solid job overall.
