Exactly! Standardized testing is like judging an athlete based on one game - it doesn't show the whole picture. My neighbor's kid is a great artist but struggles with tests, doesn't mean they're not talented. We need to find better ways to understand what students really know and can do.

Definitely agree with this - standardized tests don't show the full picture of what a student knows or can do. I've seen kids who are super smart struggle with these tests because they just don't test everyone's skills the same way. Plus, stressing students out with all this pressure to perform on one exam? Not cool.

Absolutely, standardized testing is such a one-size-fits-all approach. I mean, my daughter struggles with test anxiety, and it doesn't reflect her true abilities at all. We should be focusing on more holistic ways to assess students, not just a narrow test score.

Standardized testing may not be perfect, but come on, it's a decent way to measure how students are doing academically. I mean, we need some way to see if the kiddos are learning the stuff they're supposed to. It's not like we're just gonna wing it and hope for the best, right?

I get what you're saying about needing some way to measure student progress, but do you think standardized testing might have some downsides too? Just curious.

I get what you're saying, but do you think there could be other ways to gauge student progress aside from standardized tests? Just curious.
