Standardized testing is such a joke, let me tell ya. I've seen students who are brilliant thinkers and problem solvers struggle with these tests because they just don't fit into the narrow mold of what's considered "acceptable" knowledge. It's like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole - it's just not gonna work!

Standardized tests may not be perfect, but saying they can't measure a student's abilities at all is a stretch. I've seen how they can highlight areas where students excel or need help. Plus, they provide a common benchmark for schools and help identify systemic issues. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater, folks.

I get the whole argument against standardized tests, but come on, they've been around for ages for a reason. I mean, they may not be perfect, but they give a pretty decent snapshot of where a student's at academically. Plus, in my experience, they do help compare how well students are performing across the board.

Totally agree! Standardized tests might have flaws, but they do give a pretty good snapshot of a student's academic performance.
