Definitely agree with this! Standardized testing is like trying to judge a cake by only looking at the sprinkles on top - you're missing all the layers of flavor and texture underneath. Every student is different, with unique strengths and styles of learning. My daughter struggles with tests, but put her in a hands-on project, and she shines like a star. We gotta find ways to see the whole picture, not just a snapshot.

I get that standardized tests aren't perfect, but c'mon, they do give some indication of where a student stands academically. I remember in high school, those tests helped identify areas where I needed to improve. Sure, they shouldn't be the only measure, but they're not completely useless either.
