I've never been a fan of standardized testing. I mean, come on, reducing a student's intelligence and potential to just a score on a test? That doesn't capture everything they know or can do. In my job, I've seen so many bright students struggle with these tests, and it's frustrating. Let's find better ways to evaluate our kids.

Totally disagree with this! Standardized tests may not be perfect, but they give a snapshot of how students perform academically. In my business, we need people who can think critically and handle pressure - skills that standardized tests can definitely measure. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater here.
