Definitely agree with this! I've seen how some kids who are brilliant in other ways struggle with these tests. It's like judging a fish by its ability to climb a tree. Plus, my own kid gets so anxious during standardized testing that it affects their performance - it's just not a fair measure of what they know.

I get the frustration with standardized tests, but come on, they're not that useless. I mean, they may not capture every nuance of a student's abilities, but they do give a general idea of where they stand. In my experience, they can be a helpful tool to identify areas that need improvement and track progress. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater here.

I get the frustration with standardized tests, but come on, they do measure something. I mean, they're not perfect, but they give some idea of where a student's at. As a parent, I know they're not the be-all-end-all, but they do serve a purpose, right?
