Social media platforms should not have the power to ban users based on their political views

Should social media companies have the authority to censor users for their political beliefs?

I get that people want to say what they want, but come on, there has to be a line somewhere, right? I mean, if social media platforms let all political opinions fly, we'd be drowning in hate speech and misinformation. It's not about squashing free speech, it's about keeping our digital spaces decent.

As someone who's been part of the gaming community for a while, I've seen how toxic things can get when hate speech and extreme views are allowed to run rampant. Letting social media platforms become breeding grounds for that stuff is just asking for trouble. I mean, freedom of speech is cool and all, but that doesn't mean you get a free pass to spew hate everywhere.
