It's a no-brainer that social media should crack down on misinformation. I mean, we're not talking about differing opinions here, we're talking about blatant lies that can harm society. Just because it's online doesn't mean it's a free pass to spread dangerous falsehoods - I've seen how this stuff can influence people in my own feed, and it's scary as heck.

I just don't think it's the job of social media to be the truth police. People need to learn to think critically and fact-check things themselves instead of relying on platforms to do it for them. I mean, come on, we survived before social media decided what's real or not, didn't we?

I get it, we all want accurate info. But come on, censoring stuff isn't the way. Who decides what's 'misinfo'? And sometimes it's good to see all sides, even the wacky ones, so we can make up our own dang minds, you know?

Man, I get that fake news can be dangerous, but seriously, censoring information? That's a slippery slope I don't want to start sliding down. I'd rather have access to all the info - even the wrong stuff - and make up my own mind. Let's not rely on Big Tech to decide what's true or not for us, you know?
