Social media platforms should be regulated to prevent spread of misinformation

I get it, some folks love the whole "free speech, hands-off" deal, but come on, we're knee-deep in fake news and conspiracy theories here! If social media platforms won't step up and regulate themselves, then heck yeah, it's time for some rules. I don't want my grandma sharing alien abduction stories like they're the evening news. Time to reel in the craziness, folks!
