Social media platforms should be regulated like public utilities

Should big tech companies be treated more like essential services to protect users' rights?

Regulating social media like public utilities? Come on now, that's a stretch. I get it, there are issues with misinformation and privacy, but let's not get carried away. We've got bigger fish to fry in healthcare than worrying about Mark Zuckerberg's next move.

I get that social media can be a wild west sometimes, but treating it like water or electricity? Come on, that's a stretch. We gotta be responsible for our own online choices, not rely on the government to babysit tech companies. Regulate fake news and privacy, sure, but let's not go overboard and turn Mark Zuckerberg into the next Thomas Edison.

Totally agree, regulating fake news and privacy makes sense. We need balance, not turning social media into the next water bill.
