I really think social media should kick out those anonymous accounts. Like, if you're gonna spread hate or trash talk, at least own up to it, right? My kid got bullied online by some faceless troll once, and let me tell you, it was a nightmare. Anonymity shouldn't be an excuse for being a jerk.

I get that cyberbullying is a huge issue, but come on - banning all anonymous accounts just feels like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Not everyone uses anonymity for bad stuff! I've seen students more comfortable sharing personal struggles and seeking help anonymously online than they ever would in person. Let's not punish the good along with the bad, you know?

I get the whole cyberbullying and hate speech concern but straight-up banning all anonymous accounts feels a bit extreme to me. I mean, anonymity can protect people too - like whistleblowers or folks in countries with oppressive regimes. And hey, not everyone wants their whole life tied to everything they say online, right? It's a fine line between safety and freedom, we gotta be careful with that balance.
