Social media platforms have too much influence on political discourse

In my opinion, social media platforms do have a lot of influence, but it's up to us to filter through the noise and think for ourselves. I've seen my grandkids swayed by what they see online, but that doesn't mean it's the platform's fault. We need to teach critical thinking and not just blame social media for everything.

Social media influencing political discourse is like adding too much salt to a dish - sure, a little flavor is great, but overflow ruins the whole meal. People need to learn to balance it out instead of blaming the seasoning. Plus, it's on us to digest information critically, just like we taste food - judge its quality before swallowing the whole thing.

Social media does play a big role, I'll give you that, but let's not act like it's the ultimate influencer of political discourse. People have been shaped by their environments and media way before Twitter and Facebook came into the picture. It's more about how we consume information and think critically about it, not just blaming social media for everything.

Social media isn't the Big Bad Wolf of political discourse, come on! I mean, sure, it's loud and messy, but take some responsibility people! Just because a tweet got a million likes doesn't mean it's brainwashing us all. Let's not blame Mark Zuckerberg for every opinion out there, okay?
