Social media totally messes with young people's heads! I've got a teenager at home, and let me tell you, the pressure to look a certain way, have a certain lifestyle, it's insane. Constant comparison, FOMO, cyberbullying - it's a mental health minefield out there. We need to dial back the social media obsession and focus on real connections and experiences for our kids' sake.

Interesting perspective! Have you noticed any positive aspects of social media use for young people too?

Definitely agree with this. I've seen how social media messes with my kids' heads, comparing their lives to totally unrealistic standards. It's like a highlight reel of everyone else's lives, and it's no wonder they end up feeling inadequate. We need to educate them on using it responsibly, for sure.

Social media absolutely messes with young people's mental health. I mean, think about it – constantly comparing yourself to those "perfect" lives on Instagram? No wonder anxiety and depression are on the rise. I've seen my own niece stressing out over her follower count, it's ridiculous. Social media needs to chill out.

Social media isn't some magical demon ruining kids' mental health. It's all in how you use it. I've seen my niece thrive online, finding support and friends. Let's not blame the app, let's talk about teaching healthy habits instead.

I get why some folks think social media messes with young people's heads, but honestly, I think it's more about how you use it. Like, I've found so many supportive communities online that have helped me through rough times. It's all about balance and knowing when to unplug, you know?

I get where people are coming from, but blaming social media for all the mental health issues in young people feels like missing the mark. I mean, sure, it can be a factor, but there are so many other things at play - family dynamics, school pressures, societal expectations. Let's not simplify a complex issue into a single scapegoat, right?

Social media isn't the enemy here, folks. It's all about how you use it. I've seen my own kids find support and connection through online communities. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater - moderation and education are key!

Interesting perspective! How do you balance supporting their online connections while minimizing the potential negative impacts?
