Absolutely, I totally think schools should teach practical stuff like taxes and budgeting. I mean, c'mon, how many of us actually use calculus in real life? I learned more about filing taxes from playing "The Sims" than from high school math! It's time we graduate knowing how to adult, not just ace a history test.

Totally agree, schools need to get real with teaching life skills! I mean, I learned calculus in high school but had no clue about taxes or budgeting - had to figure it out the hard way. Let's prepare kids for the real world, not just for exams they'll forget a month later.

Why do we always act like teaching practical stuff in school will solve everything? Look, I get it, budgeting is important. But honestly, I'd rather have my kids learn math and critical thinking, and then teach them budgeting myself. Real skills are great, but let's not sacrifice the fundamentals for them.

I see what you're saying about math and critical thinking, but practical life skills are important too. We can't assume that all parents will teach these skills, so it makes sense for schools to cover them too.
