As a parent in the suburbs, I have to say, essential workers keep our communities running. They're the real MVPs, not some athlete throwing a ball around. I mean, come on, who needs a $100 million contract when you could pay essential workers a decent wage so they can support their own families? Priorities, people!

These salaries are possible because ticket prices are insane and cities build stadiums with tax money. We're all subsidizing this excess.

A guy who throws a ball makes 400x what a teacher makes. Meanwhile teachers are buying school supplies out of pocket. Our values are completely broken.

The same team owners crying poor and asking for public stadium funding are paying players $300 million. Something doesn't add up.

As someone who has worked in both manual labor and professional settings, let me tell you - athletes deserve every penny. They train hard, entertain millions, and bring in massive revenue for their teams and leagues. Essential workers are vital too, but comparing their salaries to athletes is like apples to oranges. Let's appreciate all roles without downplaying the value athletes bring to sports and society.

I get it, essential workers are crucial, but let's not bash athletes for making bank. It's supply and demand - people pay big bucks for sports, so athletes rake in the dough. Plus, being a pro athlete takes insane dedication, talent, and hard work. Let's give credit where it's due, folks!

Entertainers have always been paid well - actors, musicians, athletes. It's not new. We value entertainment. That's human nature.

Athletic careers average like 4-5 years and destroy your body. Most of these guys need that money to last 50 more years.

Athletes get paid what the market will bear. They create value that people voluntarily pay for. Nobody forces you to buy tickets or jerseys.
