Political correctness is stifling free speech in society

Man, I totally get where this is coming from. Like, of course we gotta respect everyone, but it feels like we can't even have real conversations anymore without worrying about stepping on toes. I've seen it in my workplace too - everyone's walking on eggshells instead of just speaking their minds. It's like, can we find a balance between being respectful and actually saying what we think?
