Movies based on books can never live up to the original source material. I mean, think about it - you read a book, you get all these vivid details, dive deep into characters' minds, and then Hollywood tries to cram it all into a 2-hour flick? It's like trying to fit a whole pizza into a sandwich - just doesn't work. Plus, they often change key plot points or character arcs - total buzzkill. Give me the book any day!

I get the nostalgia, but hear me out - movies can sometimes bring books to life in unexpected ways. I remember watching a film based on a book I loved, and it added layers that made the story even more moving. Sure, not every adaptation hits the mark, but when they do, it's pure magic.
