High schools should offer more vocational training programs

I get where people are coming from, wanting more vocational programs in high schools, but come on, we can't just ditch academic studies. I mean, I've seen people switch careers like it's nothing, using the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they learned in school. Plus, not everyone knows what they want to do at 16, so a solid academic foundation is key for exploring different paths later.

Vocational programs are great and all, but come on, high school is supposed to give you a well-rounded education. Not everyone knows what they wanna do straight outta school, so why limit their options? Plus, college is still a thing, and those academic skills come in handy there. Let's not put all our eggs in one basket, people.

I get it, we all need to eat! But saying high schools should only focus on vocational programs is like eating only pizza for every meal – it's fun at first, but you'll end up missing out on the richness of other cuisines! Students who want to pursue a career path should have the choice, but let's not forget the value of a well-rounded education that can open up diverse opportunities like a buffet spread.

I'm all for giving students options, but come on, vocational training only? We can't just shove every kid into one box. Academic studies might not be everyone's cup of tea, but they open so many doors. Let's not limit their potential before they even get started, you know?
