Genetically modified foods are safe to consume

I'm all for GMOs being safe to eat. I mean, come on, I've been chowing down on genetically modified corn and soy my whole life, and I'm still here kicking! It's like people forgetting that the food we eat today is a result of centuries of tinkering and cross-breeding. GMOs are just the next step in that delicious food evolution, in my opinion.
