Customer loyalty programs are just a scam to make you spend more money

Let's discuss if those points and rewards are really worth it or just a marketing strategy.

I gotta say, I disagree big time with this. Look, as someone in healthcare, I see loyalty programs that actually help people save on meds they need. Plus, if folks wanna spend more to get a free coffee or discount, it's their call. But let's not call every loyalty program a scam just 'cause some make you spend more - some are genuinely helpful!

I get why folks might feel that way, but c'mon, customer loyalty programs aren't all scams. I've scored some sweet deals and freebies through those points. Plus, if I'm gonna spend money somewhere, might as well get some perks out of it, right?

I gotta say, I disagree with this one. As someone in healthcare, I see loyalty programs in pharmacies helping patients save on meds they need regularly. It's not about making people spend more; it actually helps many folks afford their medications long term. Sure, some programs might not be super transparent, but blanket calling them all a scam is a bit much.

I get what you're saying about helping patients, but don't you think some programs do end up encouraging unnecessary spending just to get rewards sometimes?
