College athletes should be paid for their participation in sports

I get the love for college sports, but come on, these athletes already get scholarships and perks most students dream of! As someone in healthcare, I see the strain on resources firsthand, and there are way more pressing issues than paying college athletes. Let's focus on making sure everyone has access to quality healthcare before we worry about giving extra cash to student-athletes.

I don't think college athletes should get paid. I mean, come on, they already get scholarships, which is huge. Plus, college sports are supposed to be about the game and team spirit, not just making money. My kid plays soccer, and sure, it's a lot of work, but that doesn't mean they should get a paycheck for it.

As much as I love watching college sports, I don't think athletes should be paid. I mean, they're already getting scholarships, free education, and exposure to potentially go pro - what more do they want? It's not like all students get a chance to have their education paid for by playing sports. Let's keep things fair and focus on education, not turning college sports into a semi-pro league.
