Man, I totally think AI will create more jobs than it'll replace. It's like in sports - new technology comes in, some play styles change, but there's always room for new talents to step up and fill the gaps. Plus, AI opens up whole new industries and opportunities; it's not just stealing jobs, it's changing the game.

Everyone freaked out about ATMs killing bank teller jobs. Didn't happen - banks just offered more services. Every tech revolution creates new jobs we can't even imagine yet.

People made the same predictions about computers, the internet, automation in factories. Every time, we adapted and ended up with more jobs, not fewer.

Totally agree! We gotta roll with the changes and make the most of 'em. It's all about adaptability, right?

As someone who works in healthcare, let me tell you that AI is great for some things, but it's not exactly creating more jobs in my field. It's all about efficiency and cutting costs, not hiring more people. We need to face the reality that some jobs will be replaced, and we have to adapt to that.

Man, I gotta say, I don't buy this at all. I mean, sure, AI might create some jobs in the tech industry, but what about all the roles it's gonna wipe out? Like, I work in customer service, and with AI chatbots taking over, I've seen half my team get axed. It's not about just numbers, it's about who's losing out in the end.

I really don't buy into this idea that AI will magically create more jobs than it gets rid of. I mean, sure, maybe it'll open up some new roles here and there, but come on, we've all seen how automation has replaced so many jobs already. My buddy lost his job at the factory because of machines, not because they suddenly needed more people to oversee them. People need to wake up and smell the digital coffee on this one.

This whole idea that AI is gonna magically spawn more jobs than it swipes away? Sorry, not buying it. I mean, where are these jobs gonna pop up from, thin air? I'd rather stick with what I can see and touch, not some wishful thinking about job creation out of nowhere.

We're already seeing it. Why are so many college grads underemployed? Why is workforce participation dropping? The effects are already here.
Jan 22, 2026
You're spot on. The impact of technology on the job market is hitting hard, especially for recent graduates.
Jan 26, 2026
Hmm, I get what you mean about the underemployment issue... But do you think there could be other factors at play too? Just curious.

The new jobs require completely different skills. A 50-year-old truck driver can't become an AI researcher. The transition will be brutal.
Jan 15, 2026
I see your point, but I think there will be opportunities for reskilling and upskilling to adapt to the changing job landscape.
Jan 14, 2026
Even if new jobs emerge, they'll be in specific places and require specific skills. The disruption will devastate communities even if total job numbers stay the same.

The transition speed matters. Previous shifts took generations. AI capability is doubling yearly. People literally cannot retrain fast enough.
